Each Blanche veneer is layered by hand from Swiss feldspar porcelain in Blanche Lab, where seven dental technicians work a few metres from the chair you sit in. They see your face, lips and gum line in person, so the tooth is shaped for you rather than picked from a catalogue.
Veneer or laminate? Same thing
If you've been reading about veneers in Korea, you've probably seen the word laminate. Korean clinics use it for exactly what English speakers call a porcelain veneer: a thin ceramic shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its colour, shape or size. Search either word and you're looking at the same treatment.
Why feldspar porcelain
A natural tooth isn't one flat colour. Light passes into the enamel, picks up warmth from the layer beneath and bounces back softened. Feldspar porcelain behaves in a similar way, so a well-made veneer reads as a tooth rather than as a white coating. Our technicians build that effect up in dozens of thin layers, then fires the porcelain in an Ivoclar Programat press furnace at controlled temperature and pressure.
The part nobody sees: the bonding
The cement under a veneer matters as much as the porcelain on top. It affects how the colour holds over the years and how your gums react. We bond with Ivoclar's adhesive system, which costs more than most alternatives but was chosen for colour stability and biocompatibility.

Porcelain veneer questions
How long do porcelain veneers last?
There is no fixed number. Bite, habits and check-ups all play a part, so it differs from person to person. Your plan's warranty (1, 5 or 10 years) covers you during that period.
Is the treatment painful?
With little or no drilling, most people find it comfortable. If numbing is needed, a computer-controlled anaesthesia device (I-JECT) keeps it gentle, and sedation can be arranged for nervous patients.
How many teeth will need veneers?
That depends on how many teeth show when you smile and what you want changed. It can be as few as two or as many as ten. If a smaller number will do the job, we will say so.
I already have veneers from another clinic. Can you redo them?
Yes. The old veneers are removed with care, the teeth underneath are examined, and a new plan is made from there.
